Jessica returned to the Tahoe area in Spring 2013, excited to bring her experience as a practicing physical therapist to the South Lake Tahoe community with starting Meyers Physical Therapy. What started 10 years ago in a shared space in Meyers has grown into a larger independent space in South Lake Tahoe, offering care 5 days a week in a quiet and beautiful office. Jessica graduated from Northeastern University in Boston in 1999 then moved out to California in 2000 and has been focusing on outpatient orthopedics for the past 17 years. Proudly, in 2008, Jessica completed her manual therapy certification to become a CIMT (Certified Integrated Manual Therapist) to enhance her practice and bring the best to all her patients. Since obtaining her certification, Jessica has been continuously adding to her expertise in the exercise realm to complement her whole-body treatment approach, as well continuing to learn more advanced manual therapy techniques. Just like everyone who lives up here, Jessica is here to enjoy all that Tahoe has to offer, whether it’s getting out there snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, camping, backpacking or snowshoeing. So she knows what it takes to stay fit to do all those amazing things, and how to help people get back out there after injury. Jessica is a very passionate physical therapist who always wants to bring the best to her patients and get them back to the active lifestyle they are used to.
CIMT
As a CIMT, or Certified Integrated Manual Therapist through Great Lakes Seminars (https://www.glseminars.com/) Jessica is trained to assess dysfunction from a whole-body perspective. This allows her to “connect the dots” from the driver, or source of the pain, to the symptoms, using an eclectic manual therapy approach.
Matt moved to South Lake Tahoe from State College, PA in 2007 after discovering what Tahoe has to offer on a snowboarding trip the year before.
Matt is an avid snowboarder, mountain biker and kayaker, who also enjoys getting out camping.
Matt joined the team at Meyers Physical Therapy in 2019 and has grown his role over the past 5 plus years, taking on more pieces of managing our front office. Not only does Matt help keep the office running, but his green thumb has continued to make it a beautiful and calm setting for you to enjoy your rehab experience in.
Our 9 year old Australian Labradoodle will happily greet you at the door, with toy in tow and later escort you into the treatment room, making sure you’re settled in and ready to go.
